Description
SteelGate LLC is hiring a full time Deployable Mission Support System (DMSS) Kit Trainer position in support of the US NAVY Information Operations Command – Hawaii. In this role you will support the United States Navy Information Operations Command in developing quarterly DMSS Kit Updates, provide equipment training, routine maintenance and travel in support of the mission.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop Quarterly DMSS Kit Update (Fleet wide): OS, SIEM, and other software updates, and image reviews for all 4 versions of DMSS Kit, Configuration Lifecycle Management
• Equipment Training (Site Specific): Basic Kit operation/Post Mission Cleanup/Component replacement/Image Application / Training 10+ Sailors for mission, etc.
• Routine maintenance (Site Specific): Cleaning servers, verifying self-tests, assessing equipment condition, patch updates, Reimage equip after mission, ACAS
• Travel is expected for this position up to 20%
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, Information systems, Information Technology, or other related discipline or equivalent experience
• Any combination of 10 years of military and/or government professional experience supporting a cyber or cryptologic mission.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Experience with and/or certifications in three or more of the following: Redhat; VMWare/Vsphere; Windows / WDS; STIG; SCAP; ACAS; Ansible Scripting; Linux scripting; OS Imaging; NSM tools. (zeek, suricata); Elastic Stack; Splunk Architect Cert; Network +; Security +; CISSP; Elastic Engineer Cert; Patching methodology; Dell Hardware
• An active TS/SCI with CI poly security clearance is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in cyber security, Information systems, Information Technology, or other related discipline
• 10+ years of military and/or government professional experience supporting a cyber or cryptologic mission.
• Experience in technical writing and editing, as well as cyber incident management, is preferred.
• Experience in the U.S. Indo-Pacific theater of operations supporting offensive or defensive cyber operations.
• Experience with and/or certifications in five or more of the following: Redhat; VMWare/Vsphere; Windows / WDS; STIG; SCAP; ACAS; Ansible Scripting; Linux scripting; OS Imaging; NSM tools. (zeek, suricata); Elastic Stack; Splunk Architect Cert; Network +; Security +; CISSP; Elastic Engineer Cert; Patching methodology; Dell Hardware
